It’s a gently flowing series of connected garden rooms and spaces, joined by meandering pathways that link diverse planting styles and landscaping surprises. Enjoy a romantic walled garden with 16th century ruins, innovative cottage garden drift planting, flowering meadows, terraced lawns and our world-famous planted spirals. Our Jubilee Arboretum is maturing now and the lake attracts more wildlife each year.
Our season begin
s in spring with visitors enjoying camellia and rhododendron walks, builds through into summer when our drifts and long borders explode with colour. The spectacular acer glade lights up the valley in autumn reds, before the snowdrops emerge, buds open and the cycle begins again.
Nestled on the fringes of Dartmoor National Park we are happy to enjoy “borrowed landscape.” The rolling Devon hills give the garden a feeling of extra space and beauty.
